 Getuk Getuk (Javanese: gethuk) is a snack made with the main ingredients of cassava or cassava.Getuk is a food that is easily found in Central Java and East Java. Making getuk begins with peeling the cassava and boiling it. After ripe cassava is ground or mashed by grinding and then sweetened with sugar and food coloring. As a complement, usually getuk is sprinkled with grated coconut. The history of getuk began during the Japanese colonial era when rice was the staple food but it was difficult to find. Thus, local people replace rice with cassava because it is easy to find.
